Greek food? R Petropolis 3-26-08  
Being Greek, but having lived in the States all my life, and wanting to go to Mexico when I retire... I was just wondering if there is any Greek restaurants in Mexico?

Our family has been in the restaurant business a long time, and I was thinking about opening a small place once I get there.

Of course, this beings up a whole host of other issues regarding American with businesses in Mexico, but... one step at a time.

Wish I knew of one. I don't think there are any in Xalapa. If so, please someone let us know.

I love Greek food and I know there are many foreigners here who would like to know too.

Hope someone writes and lets us know. If not, you may have an open market in Xalapa.

Yes there is one. It's on Murillo Vidal. It used to be closer to the corner of Circuito Presidentes but they have moved to a larger place closer to the Leonardo Pasquel Park--which I suppose means they are doing well.

I went there a long time ago and I only remember we had baklava (spelling right?) for dessert. I ate a lot of Greek food in the US and this tasted different but really can't tell which was was closer to the original.

I've also eaten Greek food in Puerto Vallarta and it was good but different from Xalapa or the US.
