Have the new tax laws adversely affected the American owned businesses in Mexico?

Also, do the blue book values for cars in the States apply to those found in Mexico?

Dear Dale,

The tax laws seem to continue to change, but yes there are higher taxes to pay for a foreingner in Mex. It is better to have a Mexican resident put his or her name on the certificate of business. There are still high taxes to pay but not as much.

The blue book here in Mex. does not apply to cars bought in the U.S. To buy an American car here in Mex. is more expensive. A used car, more than 10 years old, from the States can fetch more money here than in the States.

A little more on the taxes for foreigners in Mex. The business taxes are double for foreigners. A recent 28% tax in addition to the other taxes was imposed on mexican business owners. These taxes are now in place.
