Coming down in June, how's the weather? Grant 4-8-09  
I am a teacher, and the only time I can come down to check out Jalapa is in June. What's the weather like? How should I pack?

Dear Grant,

The end of May and through June is the start of the rainy season. We get, usually, a good amount of rain but not all day. Usually it begins in the late afternoon and is over by nightfall. But who knows what this year will bring. So far we are right on target with drizzle at times but mostly hot weather.

Hope you enjoy your trip as Xalapa is a very picturesque city. You might travel to Coatepec and Xico also. Coatepec is smaller and has a very nice Mexican atmosphere. Xico is the same but additionally has the water falls. Maybe you remember "Romancing the Stone".
