Import permit? What's that? Shawn Timothy 11-17-07
Jay: you refer to an import permit in your other post. What is that? I'm not sure how it applies to the benefits?

Please explain how it applies.

Thanks

Shawn,

When you cross the border to enter Mexico and go beyond the 20 mile limit, you will need a sticker to show you are a tourist visiting Mex. This sticker can be paid by credit card. The max. length of time the sticker covers is six months. So you have to return to the border every six months with your vehicle to renew the sticker. But you can import your car (a legal formality) and not have to return to the border every six months. In fact you can stay in Mex. as long as you wish. This import form costs you nothing except time.
Hope this explains more thoroughly how this can benefit you.
Jay
