Big shakeup in tax laws? Rob Norgran 12-28-07  
I heard recently that the tax laws are changing in Mexico and can adversely affect Canadian (and I guess U.S.) business owners. Any word on the shakeup and how does it affect us. My plans are in place, but will be affected adversely if this is true, although I don't know to what extent.

There is speculation and some concern about the new laws that are supposedly being put into place, but until next year no one will know for sure. Some of the panic with regards to real estate sales proved false. But we are just waiting to see what the effects will be for businesses. So until next year when the rumors settle down, no one knows unless they have a copy of the new laws.
