(Fauna Museum). Located in the Macuiltepetl Ecological Park. For eight years this museum has offered a broad overview of the natural habitats in the state of Veracruz. You’ll learn about the animal species that inhabit the region and wildlife conservation efforts being made to aid their survival. Open Tuesday through Friday from 11:00 to 5:00.

(Xalapa Anthropology Museum). Located on Av. Xalapa. This magnificent museum has six showrooms and 18 galleries that exhibit important pre-Hispanic pieces of the Olmec, Totonac and Huastec cultures. The museum’s 2,500 objects are on display in chronological order. Open Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 4:00 and Sundays from 9:00 to 5:00.
