Considering a move to Xalapa area Tonee 7-8-08  
Hola... I'm an expat from California living in Oaxaca (8 years) considering a move to the Xalapa area... I have visited several times recently looking at homes for sale. I will return next week hoping to see more.

There is a nice home available in my price range in Carrizal which I will look at a second time. I wonder if anyone has information about that area to share? I sincerely appreciate any thoughts.

The home in Carrizal is nearly perfect for me but I'm concerned that the area may be too warm... and a bit far from Xalapa. I like the cooler climate in Xalapa... one reason to move from Oaxaca.

Dear Tonee,

The climate in Xalapa or the surrounding area is much better and not so hot. At the moment, as in the rest of Mex., we are experiencing alot of rain, but this is unusual. Of course this is the rainy season and the temps are nice and cool.
There is a house for sale in Coatepec, 15 minutes from Xalapa, that may be in your price range. See the ad on the front page of this web site.
