I've been researching places for a modest retirement in Mexico. Am attracted to Xalapa for its size, musical culture and natural environment. BUT - I am concerned about the increasing congestion of automobiles - which means increasing air pollution and noise!
Is this making the city less desireable to live in? I'd appreciate hearing people's perspectives on this. And, if you do find Xalapa busier/noisier than you'd like, how do you deal with it so you can still live there and experience a decent quality of life? Is it necessary to live outside the city in a surrounding town? Thanks. |
