Short term rentals? wood 1-23-09  
I am going to be visiting a class for a month in Xalapa. I also heard Coatepec is close enough to consider. What I would like to know is how much a apartment rents for, and will they allow a short-term rental, like a month?

I know of only one location for apartments, but it is Xalapa. The name of the owner is Senora Pardo. Tel. 228-815-2808 and 228-815-2101. Located at Azueta No.149 in Col. Centro. it's furnished.
The other option is a hotel in Coatepec which is 200 pesos per week. It has all of the amenities and is very clean. The name is Hotel Angela Carolina. Tel. No. is 228-816-3863.

Hopefully someone else on the net will give you more info.

He is a native of Bolder, Colorado, lives in Xalapa andd has for a very long time (see Mexiconnect.com) and writes a great deal about it. He has a few apartments in the central district but is not greedy and will "help" you find something you will like. The "help" suggests that if he is successful, you might compensate him.
