What is biggest concern of expat in Mexico? Monte 9-11-07  
Once a person is living in another country, what are the concerns for living? Is it language, finances, false expectations?

Any advice to think ahead about would be helpful.

It depends on the person.

Mainly how to get things done. In the US the departments are identified as to what one needs to do. In Mex. one has to ask as to Medical attention, where is the best place to eat, good hospitals, legal forms (FM3, etc.)and the like.

It is an exploratory venture. One that can be pleasant. There are the conviences we have at home. Sometimes different and a different approach. For example, it may take you 2 months to get a phone. Water is not treated, but bottled water is readily available.

These are just a few of the differences. But they are not difficult to get used to.
