Organized Soccer for kids and adults? Derek 3-25-09  
I was wondering if you were aware of any organized soccer clubs or the like in and around Xalapa, Xico, or Coatepec? I am planning a move to the area and would love to know if there are any soccer clubs?

Mexico is known for its great soccer players, but I don't know which area they predominately hail from. Your help is appreciated...

The best place to start is the University of Vercruz. The tourist dept. in Xalapa also has information along these lines. There are plenty of opportunities to play soccer (football) here in the area. And there are all grades of teams. So start with the Univ. and go from there.
