Any lakes around Xalapa? Jeff 12-11-07  
I love to camp, but have not heard much about doing so in Mexico. Are there any lakes where one could camp, have a fire, fish, etc.?

There is a town about 30 miles from Xalapa called Jalcomulco. there is river rafting, fishing and camping. It has an international flavor in season which is spring through Oct.-Nov. It is nice to visit at any time of the year.

I am not aware of any large lakes close to Xalapa, but I am sure that someone knows for sure.
