Getting to the TAPO station from the Airport by Taxi

Inside the airport is a booth (caseta) that sells tickets (boletos) for taxis. The taxi ticket booth is next to an exit door out of the airport; near the exit for customs, in the international arrivals area. Once you locate this booth make it known that you want a taxi to La TAPO bus station. TAPO
Terminal de Autobuses de Pasajeros de Oriente is the full name. (East Bus Terminal). It is located about 1 mile east of the Zócalo and is the closest station to the airport.

TAPO Bus Station – After about 20 minutes of Mexico City traffic and you'll be at the edge of the bus station. It is a round building, like a donut, and you need to get yourself into the center, or hole, of the donut. Follow the flow of people towards the center. You will go through a long, wide passageway that opens into the center of the bus station. Here you will see a dozen or more bus lines. The ones you are interested in are either UNO or ADO GL (for comfort). Both of these offer first class service to Jalapa. They list the departure times on boards above the ticket windows. Check both before buying tickets, as you will want to the line with the next leaving bus. You shouldn't have to spend more than an hour waiting in the bus station. Departures are frequent (from 6AM-1PM).

Your ticket will cost about $271 pesos - about $25 US. Regarding money, you should exchange at least enough money for the taxi, bus and one day in Xalapa while you are still in the Mexico city airport (there are many exchange booths there - casa de cambio). The airport has the best exchange rate in the country, and it's convenient. Just don't flash your money around there, or anywhere else for that matter.

Hope this helps any who are traveling, and you arrive safe and secure at your destination.

If you would like to travel on an executive bus, the closest to that would be the buses called UNO but those buses can't be found in the airport so you would have to take a taxi to "TAPO" the main bus station which is about 15 minutes from the aiport. But if you were planning on living directly from the airport to Xalapa your next best option would be to find the ADO bus station located in the "National Flights" section of the airport the ADO might not be a high class bus but if you are luky you might find a ADO GL or ADO Plus which are the luxurios brands of that company and those are the closest to an Executive bus... i hope this information is still helpful to you
