Why not Veracruz city? ken 9-28-08
I was wondering why people move to Xalapa rather than to the coast, like Veracruz city? When I think of the coast I think of pristine beaches, good climate, and seafood.

If you live in Xalapa, Coatepec, or Xico... why did you move there instead of the beach? What don't I know?

Thanks

The main answer is that Veracruz city is like Houston without air conditioning and is like any other big city. The beaches are not so pristine in the city. Either South or North of the city is where you find the good beaches.

Seafood is plentiful in Xalapa, Coatepec, Xico, etc. as it is shipped in daily. It is just getting to know the best places to eat according to your taste.

Hope this answers satisfactorilly some of your question.

Hey, what are the prices like for land North and South of Veracruz? Still reasonable?

Any beachfront, if affordable is desirable, especially if one can set up their own power generation as we are discussing in another thread.

How can I find out what the prices are like, and the requirements for a U.S. citizen to purchase such land?
